Anyone else getting tired of all the levels with ingredients? I would almost prefer a couple of timed levels instead...

Anonymous said...

DONE! Do me a favor and see if this happens to you. On 2521, you are warned that you need the mixer to make ingredients, so don't destroy it. After a careful count indicated I had all the ingredients needed, were already on the board, I stopped worrying about the health and well being of the mixer. On two different tries, the mixer was accidentally destroyed after this point. The game then ended with a message saying I had destroyed the mixer. It was no longer need, so who cares?

At least there were a couple fun levels this week.

I have destroyed the mixer in 2521 once, but I don't think I got that message. I still haven't passed it. Stupid bombs :-(. Lots of them this week.

Cheers Ditte I am on right page now.

I will finish at level 3000 which is about 7/8 months away. For me that is the end.

Follow up on my version fit:

A few weeks ago the version of CC, on my PC, changed from the oooold PC version to the droid version. I proceeded to list the 128243 reasons I was mad about that.

Another of my home computers is a PC that was obsoleted when it couldn't handle the upgrade to Windows 7. A few months ago I converted it to Linux which it runs on very happily. It also has the Firefox browser. Last nigh, just for the hell of it, I tried playing CC on it. Guess what, it runs the old PC version!!!!
Life is good again (or at least a bit better).

Just thought I'd throw that info out for your consideration. The Linux operating system is freeware, comes with a lot of great software, is constantly being upgraded, and will never force you to buy a new computer!

Does anyone have tips for passing 2018 ? every level seems to need boosters now and the number of moves is ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

RE: the 2018 question. Did you mean 2518? If so, it took me four tries and a LOT of resets. I started with a color bomb and a stripe/wrap. Kept resetting until I got the bomb next to a decent color of wrap and set them off. Mostly cleanup after that. I'm doing my "second pass through" now, trying to get them all without boosters. 2018 is where I'm stuck.

If you really were asking about 2018, that portion of my brain was recently re-formatted, so I don't remember.

...now you have me doing it... stuck at 2518 in the second pass through.

Ditte said...

MB do you play on PC or mobile? My phone is two weeks behind the PC version and I can't reset on the PC without loosing lives and boosters.

Anonymous said...

MB - no levels were FUN this week. Each and every level required multiple boosters to pass. Although King are generous with these boosters, they ought not to form an integral part of the solving strategy. The strictly limited number of moves is becoming ludicrous, and I repeat NOT FUN. We play for FUN, which has long been removed from the game. Although I am still on board (bored), I am playing mainly for the sense of achievement and brotherhood of being in the front line with the rest of you guys. If anyone knows of a decent substitute please post and let us all quit honorably from the field en masse.

Ditte: I now play on 2 PCs. One is my Windows machine that they switched to something that looks like the droid version, but gets current levels and allows resets. The reset function is the only thing I like about it. My other PC runs Linux, and it still runs the Old PC version that lets you get (if you have a FAST mouse finger) five lives for every one you receive as a gift. I decide if lives or resets are more important at the time, then use that computer.

Ditte said...

Yes I thank you for the tip about clicking really fast to get 5 lives out of one. I play on laptop and wednesday I connect the mouse, because I can't click fast enough without it. This week took a lot of lives, so without your tip, it would have taken forever. I started out playing on my mobile, until I reached the end and found out, that it was two weeks behind and that the sugardrops are doubled on pc.

Anonymous said...

What a horrible, horrible week! Every level worse than the previous, what the h... is wrong with you, King???

Anonymous said...

This game has me talking to myself again... Lucky candies should always turn into things you would want to get. I can't count the times, when I was getting ready to set one off, that I thought "Gee, I really hope this thing turns into a countdown bomb that is already on 2." If they are going to have bad things in them, they should be called "unlucky candies." ...just sayin'.

By the way Dee, there was only one that I thought was fun, and that was 2511.

MB
lostmessages@charter.net

Anonymous said...

I agree with Dee NO levels were fun this week. Just one bad one after the next. The last one was the best IMHO. Used a fish and wheel on that one and got the cake to explode and then it was pretty easy after that ... lots of annoying bombs in this episode. Not my proudest moment to be finished because I caved on 2524 and 2521 and spend a couple of bucks on extra moves because I was out of hammers. I just couldn't bear the misery to go on any longer.... repeat, repeat, repeat .... you know the picture.... so done and getting on with the rest of my life!!! Onward Crushers... see ya next week.....

Oh and I got the trophy for now MB tee hee:).... I'm sure it won't be mine for long though....LOL

2516 just needed a lucky board which I am not getting. Agree King testing our patience.

Anonymous said...

Well I tried 2511 again to see if I thought it was fun.... I had forgotten that one... for good reason.... took a lot of hammers and hand switches and a fish I believe. I played it a number of times to see if I could do it with no boosters... nope... not even close... so if I can't do it without boosters definitely not fun in my books.... probably not as good a player as MB .... LOL .... Onward Crushers ... scoop up those sugar pops so we can whirl through the next one on Wednesday....

Anonymous said...

Sleepless: Yea, the lucky board is major for 2516. I've made it through several times, without boosters, but it involved a lot of resets to get a board where (at least) a couple stripes could be made right away. Still haven't made more than one star on it.

Finally cleared 2517 BUT it crashed and have to start all over. King sucks. Now waiting for lucky board 2518.

This weeks batch may be one of the most screwed up ever. I'm on 2539 waiting for some new lives. There is something wrong with 2533. You have to collect 20 chocolate. I had 18 with no chance of getting the other two and just suddenly passed. Don't know why.

More later... I hope

Very difficult bunch this week. Need to use boosters galore!

Anonymous said...

WoW congrats MB.... I always come here to see what you say about the week because you always get through so quickly. I can't even get started because I have to go to work.... I hope I have enough boosters... and I know I don't..... sigh...

Ditte said...

Not quite as bad as last week, but the first one was awful. Easy enough to hit the fishing floats, but to much licorice. 2536 crashed on me twice so lots of lives lost, because I had to refresh, and a very good score lost too. I would never have made 2533 without the checkmark booster. Well maybe if I had used hammers to clear the chocolate in the top. Almost impossible to hit the chocolate. Licorice in the way.

Anonymous said...

Ditte: did 2533 end weird for you? If up and gave me two chocolates for no reason.

MB
lostmessages@charter.net

Ditte said...

No I don't think so. I used the checkmark booster and let the chocolate grow until I had the last five (or maybe it was seven) that I needed.

sleepless wherever said...

Stuck at 2526 waiting lucky board. No fun playing on this basis and think I am not going to spend too much time on candy from now and probably lag you guys.

Ditte said...

Yeah 2526 is awful and so is 2533 and 2534. I'm not a fan of the fishing floats. In 2534 they're pretty useless as the fish don't target the yellow candies.

Anonymous said...

Seriously very sick of this game. Spend my time last night getting boosters to pass the 2532 to come up on 2533 was seems impossible right now. After spending tons of boosters I realize that CC have made this one for us to buy the chocolate eater thingy that I have never bought. Whatever, I am feeling so done with this game so it's time to stop. Onward Crushers and have fun.... I am going to stay and see if they fix it... if not it's on with life not this game.

sleepless wherever said...

Totally agree with your comments and share similar sentiments.

Anonymous said...

I've been through 2533 several times. Used a check mark all but once. First time, I started with a color bomb and managed to get another one next to it. That did most of it. The next time chocolate was produced, the game ended and said I won... don't know why. Other times I've used a check that turned into chocolate. It's very difficult, but I've finished it this way, with a couple lucky stripes firing sideways, across the top, to get chocolate above the licorice. It's doable without buying anything.

MB
lostmessages@charter.net

Ditte said...

MB according to Cookie it's much easier to pass 2533 in the new PC version you've got than in the old one. In the new one the chocolate, the spawner makes counts, when it's produced. That's why you passed after only having collected 18 of the 20 chocolates.

Anonymous said...

Passed 2533 by using a mystery candy booster then being very careful to let the chocolates grow before cleaning the board by switching two wrapped candies.

Anonymous said...

So, I passed 2533 by hammering and hand switching... what a pain. You were so right MB just no way to do this without boosters. Now I'm stuck again on 2534.... what a painful episode. Hopefully, I'll hang in there ... Onward lucky Crushers.... this one is stuck AGAIN!

Anonymous said...

Ditte: Just so I could do it the "hard way", I played 2533 on my Linux computer that runs the oldest imaginable version. With some luck, got it the second try. Took a check booster, for the extra chocolates, and a switch hand to build the second color bomb. Those poor check boosters don't get much use any more. I have just over 400 of them. Even King doesn't want them back. They survived when the rest of my boosters vanished a few weeks ago.

MB

Yea, I found 2534 wayyyyyy harder than 33. I so want to quit this game.

MB
lostmessages@charter.net

Anonymous said...

Yeah I agree.... I was going about 2533 the wrong way and lost a lot of check booster because of it. Finally realized duh that you gotta also have a bunch of hammers and switches to get it and it was easy with those boosters in the end LOL stupid game.... all you gotta do it save the silly boosters.... why do I keep playing.... I have no idea... just so addicted I guess... and I also agree, unfortunately at 2534 is so much harder.... Onward Crushers.... At the rate I am going I will be crushing way behind you next week.

Ditte said...

I just lost patience with 2534 and used 6 hammers to get the last yellow candies. I also used to have a lot of checkmark boosters but the last two episodes have taken a lot of them. I usually check if there are popcorn, if not I use the booster.

Finally cleared 2526 , now stuck at 2532. Only playing sporadically , not like previously as I am getting tired of having to wait for lucky boards
for many levels now. No issue lagging everyone. 😂

Anonymous said...

Finally done. I was so tired of going to get sugar pops so I could get more hammers. I used sooooo many hammers and hand switches and checked candies and and and........ this episode. At least they give you the boosters, but it would be better to just have levels that are doable without the need for a million hammers. I am not going back to any of them ..... what a rotten week... IMHO. When you said, "It is a difficult week need boosters galore." you were so right on MB. Onward Crushers....

Anyone else not getting the usual number of hammers in their sugar drop harvests? I've only received 4 since last Wednesday. Has King figured out how critical they are and cut back?

MB

I did notice that I don't seem to be getting as many boosters. I have 5 hammers since Saturday.... so not sure. I did think they were being stingy but I thought that was just me.
Onward Crushers.

Anonymous said...

Re: Number of Boosters. It varies week to week. Sometimes I'll get 4 of something all at once and then not get it for a week. Last week I got 4 hands all together and another time I got 4 gold bars. I've also noticed that if I'm stuck on a level that requires a type of booster (and I've run out), the game will not give me any of that booster for a while.
I wish they would come up with a new generous level for boosters. I'm getting tired of playing level 1476.

Anonymous said...

I so agree about 1476. I so wish they would give us another fun one to get boosters. I've tried them all on my way down to 1476 and nothing even comes close... oh well... I wonder what tomorrow will bring... Onward Crushers and good luck!!

Anonymous said...

Not as bad as last week but still a few really hard levels.

Anonymous said...

There is an problem with level 2547. There are two ingredients to collect which I completed. The game did not end and when I ran out of moves it said I was missing an ingredient.

Anonymous said...

Next time around I was able to pass 2547. Not sure what happened the first time.

Anonymous said...

Made it to 2551, but it's time to start work. Love Mort's Magical Helmet! It really cut down booster consumption so far. Something to watch for (minor issue) on 2543, the game acts weirdly after a switch hand is used... Unless I'm imaging it, things that shouldn't move, do.

MB
lostmessages@charter.net

Ditte said...

2546 wasn't fun and took some boosters. A couple of other difficult ones but overall a very fun week in my opinion and easy to score 3 stars.

Anonymous said...

DONE! My current state of mental illness made this batch fun. Expensive in boosters, but fun. After meeting up with Morty's Magical Helmet, for the first time, I decided to try doing the entire batch on 1 life. I succeeded. From my stash, I used: 13 color bombs, 6 strip/wraps, 38 hammers, 1 check mark, 1 coconut wheel, and 34 switch hands. Since they all had to be done in 1 take I did a LOT of resetting. I also had a lot of free boosters that Morty's Helmet threw in on each level, plus three free moves after the first few levels. I don't think I'll be doing that again.

WTF is this magic helmet. I never got a magic helmet!

Anonymous said...

Never heard of the helmet before today. Playing on the new PC version. When I started playing today, the helmet showed up with a message saying that as long as I kept winning, it would supply boosters at the start of each level. For the first couple wins it just gave a color bomb. Then it added a stripe/wrap, then (I think) three extra moves. They show up in every game until you fail to complete the level. It appears to start again on the next win... not sure if that is accurate or not, have to play with it and see more of how it works. I don't know if it's permanent. Anyone have better details?

MB
lostmessages@charter.net

Anonymous said...

Just found something about it in my messages: MAGIC DASH "Get the chance to test Mort's Magical Helmets by passing levels without losing a life." Then there's a countdown timer that is a about 37 hours right now. I'm guessing that means my "test" ends in 37 hours.

As usual I have to do it the hard way. I'm on facebook and I never get this or the extra stuff you get on mobile phone version.

Anonymous said...

Also DONE on first day out... I did at least ten of them with no boosters. It was a fun week and all were very doable from the get go. I wish I had a Mort's Helmet... on my phone but not computer. So onward crushers we go.... Long time since we had an easy episode like this one.

Anonymous said...

mb - the king company is very crafty, and their advanced math nets them a hefty income. According to my calculations, you spent approximately 93 boosters in order to receive a maximum of 45 from the magic helmet. That is like spending 100 dollars to get 50. I agree that this week was easier, largely thanks to the helmet. I was indeed about ready to quit. However, I would much rather have doable pleasurable levels with plenty of moves (666,1476) than hard levels with plenty of boosters. By the way, meantime, you can earn the helmet by going to the early easy levels, and then use it on the hard ones like the ghastly 2555.
Let us see what next week brings.
Dee

Anonymous said...

Dee - could you explain what you meant by saying you can earn the helmet by doing the easier levels. Can anyone get the helmet???? I don't understand. Thanks. Onward Crushers.

Anonymous said...

Any tips for 2546? I'm doing my head in here. I play this game at the end of a hard day instead of a drink. This one is turning me to drink.

Ditte said...

I agree 2546 is no fun. Only advise I can give is to use all three boosters (colourbomb, fish and stripe/wrap) if you have them. Even with that it took me a few tries until the colourbomb ended next to either the stripe or wrap, I don't remember which. I might also have used a hammer or two to get the last jelly. I would say it's impossible if you can't match a colourbomb with a wrap or stripe. Or maybe two colourbombs. The fish from the floats won't be enough and a stripe or stripe/wrapcombo will just hit the stupid licorice. Good luck.

Anonymous said...

Thanks Ditte, I was using my boosters and they kept being placed in the bottom half where I couldn't use them. Then one more try and a wrap, the same colour as the majority of the colours in the bottom half was placed next to a colour bomb and boom!! Blew up most of the board. The fish mopped up the rest.

Saturday morning sugar drop harvest was a disaster. Playing on the new PC version. 1476 gave me a total of 11 drops, which I thought was impossible. Then I restarted Candy Crush and tried it again. This time I got 4 drops. After a good cascade, there would be the usual little trail of stardust leading to where the drop should form, but the drop rarely appeared. Then I tried 666 and got one drop for the level. I switched over to my computer that runs the Linux operating system. It still gets the OLD PC version. Sugar drops were working properly on it. I switched to yet another computer, running the new PC version, and the drops were messed up. Anybody else run into this. Didn't get a chance to try the droid version.

Mostly easy this week. The easiest week in a long time. I still haven't had a freeking helmet though.

Already finished this weeks episode. Had to use quite some boosters, but it avoided getting stuck. Nice, one week without Candy:)

Anonymous said...

WOW!!! A fun week. I still managed to turn it into work. A magical helmet showed up yesterday (I wish I knew what causes them to appear). So, I decided to try to finish this week on just one life. Did it. Remember, the helmet gave me a free color bomb, a stripe/wrap, and three extra moves every level. I added a color bomb and started every level resetting until my bomb and the helmet bomb were next to each other, or one hand would make them that way. Then set them off and did the cleanup. Total death toll for boosters (not counting those from the helmet): 15 color bombs, 2 stripe/wraps, 15 fish, 17 hammers, and 15 hands. It would have been way less if it wasn't for wanting to do the entire week on one life. Oh yea, you always have to do one reset, after looking at the first board, to select what boosters you want for the level.

Keep Crushin'

The magic helmet appeared to me too, but it warned me on my message board that it would only last for 18 more hours. I therefore threw caution (and boosters) to the wind in order to take advantage of it. The levels this week seemed easier as a result, but I am aware that it might only appear thus due to the helmet. I shall play the levels again at my ease over the next week to see if it is indeed so, whilst continuing to stockpile the still essential boosters from the sugar drops.

OK done and a very easy week. So jealous of this magic helmet thing. Does it only appear on the "new" version. I haven't got it yet. I play on a chromebook on facebook. Onward Crushers. This is getting pretty easy. Two weeks now and done on the first day and this time I have lots of boosters left. Wishing for a helmet:)

No magic helmet for me either, although for only the 2nd time in over 2 years, I hit the Jackpot on the free spin this morning. The first time I hit the Jackpot was about a month after I started playing. I thought it was never going to happen again.

Ditte said...

Lucky you. I have NEVER hit the Jackpot despite only having missed the daily spin less than ten times, since it was introduced.

On some sites about the magic helmets it says that you have to go back to the beginning like the first one and play it about seven times and then you get the helmets. However, I am wondering if I have to be on the trail rather than the parking lot where I am waiting for next week's new levels. Does anyone know? I also read that some people have it and others don't so I don't know. I was just wondering if you have to be on the trail to get the darn thing. Could someone let me know what you think. Thanks. Onward crushers.

My last helmet showed up when I had everything done and was waiting for Wednesday. Hope I get one next week...REALLY makes thing easy when you can start with a helmet color bomb and one of yours every level. Reset until things look good.... then BAM.

I'm so stuck on 2565.....been on it all week and having no luck what so ever. Tried lucky candies and have no boosters left. Can't get enough yellows.

Ditte said...

I also struggled with 2565. The lucky candie booster just seems to give you red candies instead of the needed yellows. I don't remember how I finally passed. Maybe I got lucky with a colourbomb/stripe or wrap combo to get rid of the chocolate early enough to make enough lucky candies fall from the four dispensers.

Anonymous said...

Thanks MB. Do you have to go back to the earlier levels to start them again when you don't have one? Seems like you are one of the lucky selected few who have it. I dont have the new version of the game and so perhaps that's why or perhaps it's chromebook. I want a helmet though.... frustrating:_ As for 2565 just played it again and you need boosters so you better go and get some from the sugar pops. I cant remember exactly how I did it but I do know that I got rid of the chocolate so I could get the mystery candies as that is the only way to get the yellow and then I think I used a few hammers and handswitches to get the yellows. I didn't make it without boosters but I didnt try very hard cos I'm just harvesting for next week and then I quit for the day.

Anonymous said...

The helmet only shows up on my PC that is running the newest version. It just shows up sometimes right when I log into the game. Then it stays for what ever time period it has decided to stay for. No need to go to earlier levels, it just shows up. If something in particular triggers it, I haven't figured that out.

I've been trying to get 2565 without boosters. Not even close yet. Even starting with a color bomb and stripe/wrap doesn't do enough damage. I think the helmet is the only reason I got through it. Otherwise I'd still be waiting for the lucky board.

OK MB thanks. That's what I thought... just the new version:( So, I will try it on my computer tomorrow,,,, not my chromebook. Anyhow... I did pass 2565 the old fashioned way with good ol boosters not magic helmet ones... so it can... trust me.... easily be done... see ya...and onward crusher helmet or not:)

Anonymous said...

Just wondering if anyone has the helmet who is not on the new version. Probably not.... This last week was easy because of boosters but I have been back to a few of the levels and haven't made any yet without boosters and I am not spending boosters now LOL but wanted to try a few. I didn't try very hard, and I didn't try them all, but for goodness sakes it would be nice to get a few without spending our precious boosters. See ya Wednesday...Onward lucky crushers with helmets... you will get to the finish line way before the rest of us slow pokes.

Ditte said...

The helmet appears on my (android)phone, but I don't play much on it anymore, because it's two weeks behind my laptop.

Anonymous said...

2565 is truly a nightmare. Make sure you have a good supply of hammers and handswitches to complete this one. I threw all my boosters at it to start to clear chocolate. When I couldn't get any more yellows....I needed five to finish, I kept using hammers to pop the yellows from the dispensers. I had four yellows on the board which I had to hit with the hammers, then had to use more to hit the lucky candy from the dispenser then again to turn it into a yellow and again to collect it. Make sure you do your math first to make sure you have enough hammers otherwise you're going to waste them. I've been on this one all week and was completely fed up with it. I don't usually use so many boosters in one game but if I wanted to go further, then I had to. Good luck everyone and a big fat medal for anyone who can complete this one without using a booster.

Logged on this morning for my first sugar drop harvest of the day. I started (as usual) with 1476. As soon as I completed it, a Magic Helmet appeared. I checked the time on it, right away, and it said 69 hours, 25 minutes, and 45 seconds remaining. Last week it showed up on Tuesday morning also. None since until today. Just watching for its pattern / reason.

Still no freeking helmet. It's vastly unfair that some players are not getting this. Anyway, mostly easy this week and the timed level was done on the first attempt.

Anonymous said...

Didn't make it on one life this week. Didn't realize that 2583 was timed until I had spaced out through too much of the time. Got it second try, but that took me to two lives. The helmet does seem unfair, but if they are going to give it to me...

I don't suffer from helmetenvy ;-) Does it make up for all the complaints you had ablout the new version?

Anonymous said...

Ditte: It sure helps LOL. Most of my complaints turned out to be pointless. Other differences in the way the new version works made up for things lost in the old. Like when harvesting sugar drops, the old version gave you twice the number of drops if you successfully completed the level. The new ver doesn't, but it gives you twice the number of boosters won when you collect for that level. Having to scroll back to earlier levels is actually faster in the new version, once I learned to hold my mouse upside down and run the scroll wheel across the desk. The old version had the thing in the lower right corner that let you click back through old episodes. It is actually slower. The only thing I still dislike, mildly, is the fact that when you finish some levels, it takes you back to the highest level completed. Sooo, if I just finished harvesting 1476, it would take me back to 2585. But that's not so bad with inverted scrolling.

We are a whiny bunch. I just wish the phone wasn't two weeks behind the pc. My wi-fi and my laptop/windows 10 doesn't get along. And when the connection is lost and CC says ERROR and I have to refresh I lose the lives I haven't yet collected from the inbox. Happend twice today already. I think it's a problem with windows 10 and not my wi-fi or CC because my phone doesn't seem to have problems with wi-fi. I don't know anything about computers so it just has to work without problems.

Ditte said...

Good thing the timed level (2583) is easy. For once the fishing floats are useful. Again there was an error/problem with the internet and it wasn't registered the first time I passed.

Anonymous said...

Finished really quickly this week guys thanks to mb's brilliant helmet tip of ticking the colour bomb booster and resetting till both colour bombs are side by side. Although this uses up 15 stored bombs, it prevents having to redo the levels over and over again, not to mention saving wear and tear on the nerves. Let's face it - the sugar drops and free spins quickly restore the depleted stocks. Just needed a few hammers and switches for the harder levels and that was it. On the horrible timed level, the boosters were a hindrance. It was better not to set off the dispensers which churned out both extra time candies and/or dreaded 5 second bombs.

Thanks for the flowers Dee. This was my fastest week ever (even with having to do the timed level twice). 53 minutes and 18 seconds. Praise to the helmet gods...

lostmessagaes@charter.net

Ditte said...

I didn't think the timed level was horrible at all. Easy to make stripes or wraps to hit the fishing floats with, the resulting fish always targeted the bombs and extra time candies and also pretty easy to make colourbombs and it doesn't take very long to reach the required points. I thought it was one of the easiest levels this week.

Anonymous said...

WOW MB that's well under an hour and done. I'm still going but am hindered by having to go to work;) That said, I'm finding this week harder than last week. Already going to have to sugar pop for hammers cos I've used a greedy amount so far to finish levels. Onward Crushers.... hopefully I'll join you on the parking lot soon.

Am I the only one stuck on 2585??? It is a beast. I've gotta go and get more boosters. Sick of this booster thing. Game becoming not so much fun any more. Onward Crushers... I seem to be the only one left behind:(

Anonymous said...

This morning something called "Space Dash" showed up. It looks like the helmet's way of working, but also looks like you get even more boosters to start rounds with... if you keep winning. This one's countdown clock started at 93 hours, 35 minutes, and 45 seconds. That makes it good for Wednesday.

On the subject of the magic helmet. It is any 7 level. I was collecting sugar drop from 276 281 666 906 1137 1476 1168 not one life and get the magic helmet. .

Anonymous said...

Done. Not tooo bad but a couple I could have lived without. They didn't sneak in a timed level this week, and that was a plus. Made it through on one life, but the Space Dash reallly helped with that. Had to hammer some evil spawners on 2590 and 2592. ON 2588, the jelly in the upper right hand corner refused to break. It survived three events that should have eliminated it! Finally had to hammer. Everybody join me in a rousing chorus of "If I had a hammer!"

Back to harvesting sugar drops.

Easiest week in a long time. Still no freeking helmet. I'm doing this old school. 15 levels in a row in about 45 minutes and nope no nothing not even a chest. I'm thinking maybe it's the players who need help that are getting these helmets as I logged into an old facebook account and done some levels in Candy Crush and I was getting spaceships and allsorts. Why i don't get this on my usual account I will never know.

Anonymous said...

Don't think I fall into the category of "need help." This stuff has only been going on (for me) for three weeks. Pretty sure I was staying completed with everyone else before that.

I don't think you need help either but what I mean is people starting out in the earlier levels are getting this.

Anonymous said...

Well for what it is worth (not much ha) I got it done in a morning. It was a fun week and I made it with the boosters I had - only about 7 hammers to start out with and three hand switches. Enjoyable and not to hard at all... just one was impossible without boosters and I can't remember what that one was without looking. See ya next week. Onward Crushers... dreaming of a helmet coming my way soon.

Anonymous said...

Ok, I went back to my old facebook account and I done a whole chapter and broke every record that my current facebook has (I follow old fb for extra lives, if I need them) and I done the dreaded level 65 five times in a row. Level 65 was very difficult way back in the day as I'm sure you will all remember.

New players will never suffer the hardships we all did with flying spaceships and helmets making it almost impossible to fail to pass a level.

I beat my main fb score on almost every level with ease.

Still don't understand why my current facebook has all this fancy shit!

This game is done. Stick a fork in it.

Anonymous said...

I mean doesn't have all this fancy shit!

It was not any easy week. Without helmets and boosters, it would have been nearly impossible and very frustrating. Level 2595 in particular – only 2 colours, but an impossible grid with multiple 10 second bombs. I consider myself a less than average player - timed levels in particular are an agonizing and pressurizing challenge - and I NEED those helmets. When I go back to the levels and redo them without helmets or boosters, they take quite a few tries.
As we move onto the next 100 levels and a new page, can all the anonymouses (anonymice?) kindly choose an alias so we can correspond with a slight feeling of community? I call myself Dee, and I imagine the intrepid MB as a spritely retiree in a rural village in America. The Australians left us some time ago, as did the arthritic Dutch ladies/gentlemen. We survivors – or hopelessly and irrationally addicted – must stick together. I see that even Cookie, our kind hostess, is no longer in the forefront, and delays coming to grips with the new crop till the weekend. Well, some of us actually work…..

I thought level 2595 would never end. Finished it with 13 moves left then the sugar crush went on and on for almost half an hour. Final score was over 71 million.

I like the identifying idea Dee. I always say onward crushers... but you ca call me OC. I will sign with that from now on. I love to see what others say as we go forward to new levels or I get stuck on one. Wishing for helmets still.... I do have helmet envy:) and am ever hopefully I will them one day.... it took forever for me to get the wrapped candy thing with the color bomb... so I guess patience is the key. And yes that two color one was interesting it was one of the ones that I had to use a hammer for... but I made it with just one hammer... it took a few tries... guess those without helmets are forced to be patient!

Hi Ditte, Dee, OC and all.

Really like the idea of everyone having some sort of ID, makes it a lot more fun knowing who (by name) is maddest at King on any given day.

I'm not retired, but should be. Spent 35 years skydiving as a full time occupation. This explains why nothing in my body is where it's supposed to be (LOL). Do some programming and communications system design these days... stuff that can be done from home. Also heavily into ham radio and restoring antique radios. If I haven't bored you to death with this info, other details are at http://webpages.charter.net/wb8cac .

OK, someone else take a turn and tell everyone who/what you are!

Dee, maybe all the old Australians have left, But I have recently found this blog, currently pulling my hair out on 2595. My android is not up to this level, and the helmet is not available on PC, how do you get it? AD

Well, I'm Australian and old - (ish). Stuck on 2599. It takes me just a week to finish an episode - I'm not a great player, just tenacious.

Ditte said...

Use the colourbomb booster on 2595. That helps a lot. I did that and used one hammer to avoid having a bomb finish me off.
I'm from Denmark, born in 1972.

Anonymous said...

Joh, I used a hammer on 2599. I got the first cake, and that cleared a lot and then I worked on the second cake. When it was down to only one piece I used a hammer. That cleared the rest and brought the final cherry down. Like MB said, "If I had a hammer.... I'd use it in the morning".... ta dah! Haven't managed that one without a hammer yet. It is pretty good for sugar drops... and would be even better if one could beat it without boosters. Onward Crushers!

Hi guys... I have been getting the magic helmet for a while so I can give you some tips. There is nothing that you do that triggers whether you get it or not. Sometimes I get it every week and other times it skips a week or two. I get it on my mobile devices, never on PC/Facebook.
You have to play 7 times without losing a life to get the maximum benefit of the helmet. On mobile it is super easy to scroll down to level 1 so many people go there and play level 1 seven times (level one because it's super fast and easy) and then go up and play the current level with a full helmet. It is almost always beneficial to use your own CB to start and then reset until the two are together. NEVER worry about losing the helmet because you did not win on a level you are playing. If you lose the helmet all you have to do is go down to level 1 again and get it back so never use your precious boosters just to keep the helmet. Also, on mobile if you have the helmet and it looks like you are not going to win that level, you can just close the game and you still have the helmet when you play again.

The space dash is brand new and I got it on my iphone but I had already completed the episode so didn't use it. I did go down to level one and loaded it up to max and it is soooooo much better than the helmet as it gives a lot more free boosters... can't wait to try it. Gave me 80 hours!!

Anonymous said...

OK - thanks Suzie that was was informative about the helmet etc. I have a mobile phone but it runs two weeks behind. Does yours run the current episodes that we have on Facebook? I thought that the mobile version ran two weeks behind. If I play on King.com would I get a chance at the Helmet? I play on a Chromebook.

That said, I've stashed a ton of boosters.... see you all tomorrow. Good luck and onward we go crushers.

Ditte said...

Has any of you managed getting anywhere near the 225 blues required in 2604?

Ditte said...

Finally got through 2604. You have to get the board opened up quickly to get some cascades going to have a chance.

Anonymous said...

NOT the most enjoyable week ever. I really struggled with 2601 for some reason, so it was deadly expensive on boosters all by itself. There were a couple fun ones, but... Managed to make it through on one life again, but that could never happen (at least for me) without the space dash help. Now to go back through and try without boosters. Not looking forward to that.

MB
lostmessages@charter.net

Anonymous said...

WEIRD!!! After all the trouble I had with 2601, with boosters, I got it the first try without... Go figure.

MB

Ditte said...

Yes the phones are two weeks behind, so unless you want to replay old levels to increase your score or wait two weeks to play the new levels the Space Dash isn't of much use. No Helmets or Spaceships when playing on King.com (Danish version).I'm not on Facebook. Today the Space Dash is back on my newest phone, but gone on the old. And no free booster on the daily calendar on the newest phone today.

Anonymous said...

OK this morning my game changed and I got the helmet and the magic dash. Not sure how they work and I probably lost too many boosters trying to finish in one life -- which I did -- proud moment!! Then I lost the dash - but I went down to the beginning and played the easy ones and got it back... came back to play the sugar pops and was messing around trying to figure out how the dash works.... so does it give you candy bombs and wraps without using your own... I think it does. I've got 46 more hours to get it back and I have to not play any more right now.... but if someone could give the low down on how all this works that would be great.... it is a good day today LOL..... see ya... I didn't lose the helmet... I dont think... but it wont work now right until next week... Onward Crushers

Anonymous said...

Late start for me this week. The fastest run through for me ever. A few nasty levels at the start and then it gets easy. The game changed for me as well. No helmet but a spaceship. Not liking it and roll on level 3000 so I can say bye bye forever.

Anonymous said...

Late start for me too - work and babysitting - but in any case I am a weaker player. Without the magic helmet/spaceship/space dash or whatever they are calling the new starter boosters, it would have been nearly impossible to finish in one sitting. Even with these strong aids I had to use up a small arsenal of lollipop hammers and hand switches. Not only that, as MB notes, there were a few levels where the boosters were actually more of a liability than an asset. I wonder where all the proud "level **** no boosters" videos have gone? Not to mention our hostess Cookie's marvellous tips and hints.
Back to sugar drop harvesting. Need to replenish my depleted stocks.
Can no one at all find us a better game?
Dee

Anonymous said...

OC, The space dash gives you free boosters, but you can't keep them. It puts them in at the start of the game. After certain numbers of consecutive wins, it add to what you get. At first it's one color bomb. Then a color bomb, stripe, and wrap. Then a Color bomb, stripe, wrap and three extra moves. THEN Two color bombs, two stripes, two wraps, and three extra moves. That's quite a bit of fire power to start every level with. If you keep resetting till you like how it sits... WOW! If you lose a level it starts over. CONGRATS on making it on one life. That's been my goal for the last few weeks.

MB
lostmessages@charter.net

MB and Ditte and Dee thanks so much for responding to my plea of how all this works. This time around I used way too many hammers and hand switches to keep my head up to finish with only one life... keeping up with MB:) OK so I hope I get to try it again next week. Meanwhile, will be collecting sugar pops the slow way I guess since now I have arrived at the no doubles any more. This game has gotten way too easy. Without challenge I wonder how many will stay with it.... seems all you have to do is power it up and let it go and bingo you have gotten through the level. Onward Crushers... I'm sure the game will change again sometime in our future.

Is anybody struggling with 2610?

Unknown said...

Wow, things have changed on facebook!! The most amazing is that you can use the back arrow if you don't like the board without losing a life! And also the space helmet... so exciting!

Anonymous said...

I hate everything. The snapping back to the start and having to scroll all the way down. The levels feel different to me for some reason. Collecting drops has become more slower to accumulate the score and I'm going to stop collecting now and when my drops run out that's me done. They made it easier for sure but I went back to try earlier levels and a lot of them aren't even on the board. It's a total mess and all my high scores were gone and so were the trophies, it's way worse now. A very very shabby job all round, why fix something that wasn't broke.
A total disaster.

Call me moany Pete

Anonymous said...

Oh moany Pete... I know I felt all those things too. But, I have to say I enjoyed for now the unbelievable feat of finishing the ENTIRE episode with one life... tee hee had to keep up with MB after all. Yep, there are things I don't like for example knowing where my friends are.... and if it is not challenge at all then really why bother. I have tried to do some of the levels without boosters and not done well. Folks who are struggling just don't have the new version. It is unfair.... so the game is changing... either coming to an end or changing to a new direction. It's fun to have the helmet and the space dash... I don't do much any more with it... so that is a way to unwind from the craziness. Good luck as you "moan" your way through... onward crusher and will see you all on Wednesday.... MB will you be the first to post on the new page?
