    1. How did you get the blue candies?

    2. You have to make collections of fours.. And blast the hell out of it!

    3. There just isn't enough of blues...

      Delete
  2. I've been stuck for days - never seen close to as many blues as in this video. Making tons of combos - still only a few blues.

  3. Not enough blue candies come down. Case and point, I had a run (cascade) effect last night lasting 95 seconds, and not 1 blue came down.

I don't mean a run of blues, I mean not one single blue candy came down.

I've had a plethora of striped candies, wrapped candies, chocolate bomb candies, all combinations every which way, every single game, and it's the same story..

Not enough blues come down, end of story

    1. I agree...keep trying all different strategies and still don't get near enough blues....game is set up to make you keep trying.....BS

    2. I just beat this level after a month with 18 moves left....complete luck

  4. Finished another game and this is what happend

    - Cascade effect lasting about a minute
    - 32 striped blocks
    - 8 wrapped candies
    - 6 chocolate bombs

End result - 83 blue candies still needed.

Who has an answer for that one..

  5. my best so far was 12 blues left (out of 20 or so tries). very very frustrating

    ReplyDelete
  6. Definitely not enough blues. The closest I have got is still needing 15 blues with 7 shots left and not one blue came down, even after a cascade effect. Not once had as many blues as on video clip. Help.

  7. I got to needing one blue when I ran out of moves. Shame I cant remember how I did it!

  8. What worked for me was when you mix Color Bomb with another Color Bomb, they tend to get rid of the Blue candies.

  9. with 10 moves left??? i always finish needing like 30 more blues

    ReplyDelete
  10. My best has been 12 been stuck for weeks not far from deleting game

    ReplyDelete
  11. More than 3 times I am left with only 1 or 2 more blue candies to complete then I run over of moves. It's always like this and its annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  12. even with 63 moves i 'm still stuck with 5 more blue candies s

    ReplyDelete
  13. Twice now I've been left with 1 blue candy to get and then I run out of moves. I'm never going to move forward!! I can understand that some levels have to be quite hard but when it seems impossible, it will just put people off playing the game, me being one of them! There are just not enough blue candies to get 99 unless it's a complete fluke - simple!

    ReplyDelete
  14. awwww. stuck for a few days, 3 blues left, twice !!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. I have been on this level for 3 days as well. After reading the comments I focused on the blue's (and the bombs!haha) and I was left with still needing 11 blues/no moves- but that's better than what I WAS getting! I have done many combos, spotted candies, etc and it doesn't work (for me, anyway)

    ReplyDelete
  16. To the people that say that your read someone elses advice about popping blue candy and it worked, that is the main objective of the level. What were you doing before you tried that???????? I have been stuck on this for over a week and no matter what i try, i cannot get enough Blue candies to drop, regardless of what i try

    1. Ha! I was thinking the same thing! Ooooh, concentrate on the BLUE, now I see! ???

    2. LOL! I thought the same.

    3. What they mean is don't even bother trying to crush yellow or green candies (unless there are no possible blue matches) and ONLY crush the blue ones. The yellow and green candies will crush themselves through cascade effects and combos. By the time you've managed to crush all the blues, the green and yellows will be taken care of.

  17. I just got through this incredibly frustrating level...I did it without boosters concentating on getting stripes & wrapped candy with a color bomb + striped candy thrown in for good measure whenever possible...and yes making sure to pop the blue candy as best as I could...I find that even if I use a free booster I might have, getting through the frustrating levels is done with time and patience.

  18. Level 165 has just been one of those levels I've absolutely hated. No, there aren't enough blue candies to complete this level in the number of moves they give you. I've come close a few times getting down to 5 or 10 candies then I run out of moves. This last time I got down to 8 candies left with no more moves. I did something I have only done once, and that was to pay the $0.99 to get the 5 extra moves and guess what? When the game resumed there where blue candies all over the board. I didn't even use my full 5 moves. It only took me like 2 moves to finish this level. Again, I've only purchased twice and hopefully this will be my last time. Yes, some levels take time and forethought to finish them but maybe had they lowered the number from like 99 to 80 it wouldn't be so hard.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I've been stuck on 165 for days. Not enough blue candies. Going to give up playing at this rate.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Play the level on the computer as opposed to an iPad or iPhone. There are free boosters which make it so much easier to pass. Was stuck for weeks, but heard this "tip" yesterday, and completed the level on the first try (on the computer)!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Don't focus on crushing the blue candies. Just focus on eliminating as many of any color as possible. Blues are only a small percentage of candy drops, so you need to clear out as much as you can in order to get enough blues to fall.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I got through the level after a day or so (no boosters). Like many levels, it's a matter of luck, like playing a slot machine...those candies just drop, and the advantage is usually to the house. But I agree with the previous poster, don't pay too much attention to the blues - just eliminate as many candies as possible. Clear as many as you can with striped, wrapped or candy bombs as often as you can and the constant clearing of the board will bring eventually down enough blues to rack up the number cleared.

  24. I've been stuck on this level for weeks - getting really really frustrated. I followed the advice above of focussing on the blues (and bombs about to blow) and it worked ! Not only that I got a score over 100k !!

Thanks for the advice guys !

  25. You cannot kill 90 bears if there are only 32 bears in the woods. As much as I love Candy Crush, I'll be wandering off shortly in search of another app - I don't need to keep trying to accomplish the impossible.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well, fear not fellow crushers it is doable. Yes, stripes, wraps and color bombs combos to keep the candies flowing. But, I was given a booster, forget name (looks like pink gum), removes all chocolate and closes the chocolate factory for a few rounds (should call it OSHA). I kept almost no chocolates on the board. I was at 25moves with 23 blues needed, but, been there before. Kept the candy traffic moving, unleashed OSHA and won. I think the right board needs to come your way. Like someone mentioned earlier, don't think combos. I had 3 - 4 color bombs and one time I just cleared blue candies (no stripes or wrap). Good luck, this level isn't easy.

    1. First try using this freebie and I GOT IT!!!! Thank you for the tip!!!!!

    2. This level has the continuous chocolate and also those bombs to worry about. Add to that, there are never enough blue candies. Is as hard and UNFAIR as level 121 was. Have no idea how I will ever do it. Tried it at least 60 times and the best I have done is 19 blue ones left. I will just have to wait for the right board, like I did with 121. Got 121 out of nowhere after 10 days and 200 tries.

  27. I've been stuck for weeks. I've had 1 blue left several times. I've even gotton all the blues and lost because I didn't have enough yellows...grrrrrrrrr! I've tried all the above advice and just can't get past this level. I spend most of the game killing those bombs, sometimes 5 bombs in 15 moves. Probably the end of the game for me :(

  28. only 3 candy left. grrrrrrrrrr

  29. Hie guys. Finally made it pass this. Dun worry abt combining 2 candies too much. Just use yr single wrap or stripe candies whenever u get to form them. And anytime u see possible to match blues tats yr priority. Worked for me. Good luck.

  30. Stuck on this level for weeks....read the tips on here and suddenly my next board was full of blue candies! I don't think any skill is involved....

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think that's the point folks and why they make more blues to get and less come down. It's the challenge. It's hit or miss. I'll try the 'blue' technique and see if it works. It's only a game. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. As per my previous post (about lack of blues being the point) about 2 tries ago, I focused primarily on the blues and VOILE'!! I passed the level. :)

  33. Im stuck for a month!!! please help!! :'(

  34. Been stuck on this level TOO long. Tried all the tips given...still no luck. Just don't get enough blues..frustrated.

  35. I finally made it after getting mostly blues on the opening screen.
Two color bombs later and I cleared it. It's the luck of the draw on the opening screen.

  36. So frustrating!! I've never been stuck on a level for more than a few days (going on day 3 with this level now). I got SO close.... I had 3 stars, all green and yellow, and FOUR blue candies left to collect. One move remaining, and the only thing I can do is make a three blue match. FML!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Be patient. Use every combination when available. If you always just try to take out the blue, you will never get those combos and less blue will come down. I got lucky, had a chocolate ball next to a blue. I brought down as many blue candies as I could before I blew the chocolate ball with the blue candy. A striped blue would have been even better.

  38. This game is played world wide, can you imagine how much money is earned by the guys who made it...First you get addicted and then..they think you will pay. Compliments for the game, but I am very dissapointed that so many like myself get stuck while the game brought so much joy.

    ReplyDelete
  39. it's funny how people say concentrate on the blues only when the amount that drop are so scarce...when the blue does drop they always spread them so far apart that you waste so many moves just to attempt to get them lined up and when you do, to add insult to injury they drop a blue bomb on you. this level is the worst yet :-(

  40. I've been stuck on this level for 1,5 month! Gave up on Candy Crush. To frustrating! Deleted it from my phone. Then my girlfriend reinstalled it. She has passed level 165, weeks ago. So she tried it on my phone, no succes either. Still stuck there. Is it my lack of intelligence? Please give me a good advice!

    ReplyDelete
  41. This level nearly killed me. Like people have said, try to concentrate on the blues whenever possible. After several days, I was able to beat it with these three combos: Chocolate Ball/Striped Blue and two double Chocolate Balls.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yes finally passed this level after 11 days..almost gave up as there seems to be a shortage of blues...then I read the tips above and after attempts during the last 2 days..got through...Basically you need to match the blues constantly and try to match 3-4 striped and wrapped candies..keep an eye on the bombs..have fun!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I have been on this level for 2 weeks focusing only on the blue, getting numerous donuts with sprinkles and using it on the blues, to still need 20 to 30 blues. the closes i got was needing 3 blues and the game asked me to purchase a booster. I WILL NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS GAME. If the levels are going to cheat you to get you to spend money, I can quit as easily as I uploaded this game.

    ReplyDelete
  44. This level was the most frustrating one I came across. After playing it for over a week almost continuously, the closest I got to completing it was getting down to needing only 9 blues, and I wasn't able to get close to that afterwards.
I finally completed the level today, and seriously it was just dumb luck. The board set up initially with 1/3 of it being blues and that really helped me get a head start for the level. I had 25 moves left when I completed the level, and honestly I was completely shocked.

A HUGE tip for completing this level is focusing solely on getting the blue candies from the beginning. Don't worry about getting the other colors; you'll get them anyways, so only worry about the blues and that helps some. To all you who have made it this far, good luck!

    1. You're lucky! I'm still waiting for my dumb luck. Lowest I ever got was 30 left. I can't even get anywhere close to 10 blues left.

    2. I have been on this level for over 3 weeks now.....i really can not see me getting it...very frustrating....I too can not get anywhere near clearing the blues....just wish they would lower the number needed...come on....I want to move on....getting to the point of finding another game to play:(

  45. This is a tough level! Thanks for the help!

  46. This has been the level I have been stuck the longest on. I have gotten down to needing only three blues to pass the level several times in the past few days. The worst part is that on my last move I had two blues side by side & then one fell one row off (either above or below those two). To be honest I dont even remember how I got there other than striped & sometimes mixing the striped & wrapped. If u get the color bomb & only have a few blues on the board 5 or 6, dont use it on the blue candies...use it for another & usually blues fall. I hope I was some help to someone. I'm still trying to pass this level & even with my friends sending me multiple extra moves, I'm still stuck here. Good luck to all stuck here!

  47. I have had it with this level. I've been stuck for over a week. Probably going to stop playing. Not willing to give the game any more money when I can't even come close to beating this level. The game was fun and addicting but now it is just frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I have been on this for over a week and I do not get enough blues to finish the game ever time it only gives me half wot u need

    ReplyDelete
  49. I get more bombs than blues!

    ReplyDelete
  50. This level is really ridiculous! Everybody is saying the same thing over and over. "Not enough blues", or "This game is rigged" (it is) or "It (the game) just wants you to buy boosters"!! I wonder how many times the person who posted the above video, had before he got that many blues. I believe that he's the one who programed this game.

    ReplyDelete
  51. After 2 weeks I finally beat this level!! And without buying any boosters. I noticed that the more you clear the field with stripe/bag/candy ball combos, the more blues you get. It also helps to just concentrate on getting the blues and the green and yellow will just fall into place. But for most of these levels, the combos are the way to get ahead.

    ReplyDelete
  52. It really was that simple! Concentrate on the blue ones an getting striped and bagged candy combos!

    ReplyDelete
  53. oops...hit enter in error
so after reading all these comments and trying the different scenarios it's all same same..best i can do is be left with 12 remaining several times..and once got really close and neglected to be mindful of a bomb out of sight concentrating on nearly succeeding!! Well another day or two on this level might have to delete from my brain, phone and computer..to those of you that succeeded..well done..to those that haven't..I feel your pain!! good luck!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. YAY YAY YAY...after reporting above my frustrations...I finally got this out...I'd just missed by 3 a two games prior..I did nothing different however everytime I got a striped/chocolate/wrapped candy i activated it..regardless of the color and of course every blue combo. I would usually wait to activate a stripe with a candy but trust me...just activate them as they come, and of course you need to create them..as many as you can..it's really the only way. Good luck..oh when you get to 167 .. (166 was a walk in the park)..you will wish u were back on 165 lol..

    ReplyDelete
  55. I followed the suggestion to concentrate on the blue candies and it worked - and I had been stuck on level 165 for a while. There were times where obviously I had no choice but to go for another color when a blue match wasn't available but as soon as there was, it was back to blue. Didn't even bother with the green and yellow counts.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Of course you concentrate on the blues. but there aren't any to concentrate on. I think its the programming. it is set up to give you more blues after so many tries.

    ReplyDelete
  57. within 3 games of posting my Jul14 post I got through this level. i concentrated on the boosts and used them a soon as I got them. I didn't wait to try to get combos or line up blue. before I knew it I was down to needing 9 blue with 13 moves. there were plenty on the board and I got them in about 5 moves. dont give up

    ReplyDelete
  58. I think this will be the level where I quit !!!! I've tried so many times and don't even look like moving to the next level. I refuse to spend more money on this game as I have spent $20 and the first $10 I didn't receive anything for it !!!! Think I will now join my friends and play Pengle. I can understand now why most of my friends gave up on candy crush !!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. When you look at the video above with all the blue candies..you just have to think this person is paid by king and they have given them a perfect setup. No way in the world after about 120 tries have I been given a screen with so many blue candies....if I had that many blue canies I would also be able to complete the level !!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I have been stuck on 165 for over a week. What I hate is when the bombs go off after the 1st 7 moves - when there is no possible way you could have matched it. Grrr.

  61. This level was the toughest I have faced so far. I’ve been on it for 3 months and I know I've played well over 500 games. I passed it today. I’m going to buy a 12 year old bottle of Scotch after work and celebrate. Before I do, however, I thought I’d share my thought on this level. Just in the “for what it’s worth” department. Now, I'm not by any means an expert on this game but here's what I “think” I know about this level and it's the strategy I used to finally beat it. First, some games (likely most) are losers and you never have a chance. The game just isn’t going to give you what you need to win. You just have to suffer through them. Suffer, suffer, and suffer some more. Second, you have to blow a lot of stuff up to have any chance at collecting enough blues. Over the months, my strategy developed into this: try to make as many special candies as I could, as fast as I could, and use them as quick as I could. I know some say to save one special candy to combine with another, but I only did that when I could see the other one was likely. I didn’t save it hoping for a pairing to come. If a pairing wasn’t in sight, I blew the one I had ASAP. I don’t think you’ll ever get enough blues to win if you don’t blow up special candies (and lots of them). Next, I killed timed bombs as soon as I could. Again, others say wait as long as you can and focus on blues, but when I did that it always seemed I was not in position to kill them before they blew. I just got to where I didn’t wait. A dead time bomb is a good time bomb. Next, you have to keep check on the chocolate. It can’t get too high and it can’t cover too much of the top. Both hurt you because it limits new candies falling. I noticed, however, that if I blew the special candies as soon as I made them, the chocolate was never a problem because the explosions kept it down. Everyone says, “Kill blues” and I agree, but with a catch. If I had a choice to make a special candy or collect three blues, I made the special candy first (and blew it if possible), then, if it was still there, I would collect the three blues. Reason: most of the time blowing the special candies will collect the blues for you, plus, more new candies drop down from blowing the specials than the three blues. Finally, don't worry about the yellow and greens. If you get close to collecting enough blues, you will have already collected enough yellows and greens. Well, that’s the strategy I worked out over three months and, in my opinion, it gives you the best chance to beat this level short of cheating. If you’re going to cheat – why play? Anyone can buy items to beat a level but what have you accomplished when you do? To those who are struggling with this level – hang in there and I hope this helps.

  62. feels good doesn't it! I have just completed after 6 weeks. Your comments are tops

    ReplyDelete
  63. Omg I have been stuck on this level for 2months Arggggh!!! I just can't do it :(

    ReplyDelete
  64. This is impossible. Not enough candies blue.

    ReplyDelete
  65. It took me 4 1/2 days to complete this one. I actually did think it was impossible. All I can say is, you can and will beat it eventually. All the tips are wonderful-try to make blues whenever possible, keep chocolate in check. Try to get two wrapped side by side and switch.
That happened early on in the game I just completed. Then all of the sudden tons of special candy opportunities just popped up AND tons of blues. This was pretty much a luck level in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I've been stuck for a week now, only few blue candies were dropping plus the annoying bombs that pissed me off. i'm very frustrated and am thinking of deactivating the app. i won't spend a dime for this stressful game.

    ReplyDelete
  67. @ weeks and I cannot ever get enough blue!!!!!! Ughhh! I hate this level....

    ReplyDelete
  68. No matter how many combinations I have used in 2 weeks I can still not get through this level... I need help!

    ReplyDelete
  69. i spent 4 days on this level. I learned that if chocolate eat blue then blue will not drop down, so dont let chocolate eat it, must keep the eyes on chocolate

    ReplyDelete
  70. I passed this level and I think the key was mixing a color bomb with whatever color was most prevalent on the board at the time -- NOT blue. It wiped out all that color and opened up room for new candies, including blue ones. If you can do that twice, it will help tremendously.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Concentrate on clearing the blue candies. The more blue you clear, the more come down. The yellow and green pretty much take care of themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Simply not enough blue candies on the board. Despite me concentrating on the blues the most I haven't really got close after two days. This is obviously the game maker upping the ante for you to purchase boosters... which I will never do!

I'll give it another week, if no progress then I'll give up and go back to doing something constructive with my life!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I have noticed that there are a different amount and. Combo of colored candies that come down depending on the device you are playing on. Both my iPhone and ipad never generated enough blue, but when I used my laptop there were a ton that came down. For some reason the app didn't work. I was stuck forever when using the I devices with the app, but when I played via the Facebook link on my laptop it took me two tries. The only reason I didn't pass the first time was I missed a bomb, but there were many blue candies in both games on the laptop.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The first thing you must do on this level is make sure the top left and right corners stay clear of chocolate...you have 5 holes for candies to drop and you need all 5. The more open holes the more candy that is capable of falling. Then focus on the blue candies as much as possible, other commenters have mentioned that the green and yellows take care of themselves, and they do. What does NOT take care of itself most of the time are the color bombs. I beat this level by doing those 2 things and getting REALLY lucky in a span of 5 moves from 8 left to 3 left popping a striped and a wrapped which hit a color bomb and then 2 moves later matching 2 wrapped candies to clear around 25% of all the blues I needed to clear. So it will frustrate you but keep at it and you will beat it eventually, every level is beatable.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Goodbye. I can never get enough blues to meet the requirements. Or if I do they are never together. I have gotten as close as needing 1 more blue with 5 more moves. This level is more luck than skill

    ReplyDelete
  76. Cannot do level 165.......Ive tried and tried soooooooo annoying :(

    ReplyDelete
  77. Let me just say this level is absolute bullshit I hate it and will stop playing soon I've been stuck for over a week it's not fun anymore just annoying!!! Who needs this shit!!! I use to live this game but its slowly gonna be done with!!!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Lots of quitters on here! Wow! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  79. You know what honestly worked for me? Might not believe this, but I ignored the blue candies when possible. Seemed to bring down lots more.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I found the video but didn't get a chance to watch it, but I just beat the level with 2 stars this evening. (I had the video page open to watch later but I guess I don't need to now).

I must have played well over 50 times. Seems that either I was getting better at it, or it was giving me blues more often. Maybe both?

Either way, stuck for about a week. I concentrated on blues, but if there wasn't a blue match, I tried to get combos near a blue.

Clearing columns seemed more helpful than clearing rows, so if there were no blue moves, I concentrated on that.

Getting a stripe/wrapped bomb combo to clear multiple rows and columns at the same time, really brought down a lot of blues. That really helped a lot.

Fyi, I have never ever spent a single penny on this game, and I never will. Not worth my money.

I've gotten this far on an android, so it is possible.

  83. This is the hardest level, I have been stucked for 4 days, the only solution is to be persistent :)And just mix colour bomb with wrapped, striped with stiped, striped with wrapped etc. :) that is the only way, trust me :) Good luck,
    you will need it!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I just finally passed this level after about a month of trying on and off. Probably about 75 attempts to do it. The most blue I ever saw was after I got 2 wrapped candies together. That is my suggestion!

    ReplyDelete
  85. I followed the advice on here about focusing on the blues, and I beat it the first time I went back and tried it. Thx!

    ReplyDelete
  86. been stuck for over a week....watched this video...did it first try...no joke lol...

    ReplyDelete
  87. Well, I finally cleared this level. (now stuck on 169) It seems to happen all by itself, not anything special I do. Just all of a sudden a level's complete. The bombs kept getting me so keep those in check.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Whoo Hoo! Thank You! This worked for me after reading this! :)

    ReplyDelete
  89. Yes. Was stuck. Read post. 3 stars my very next try! Great tips.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Well candy crush is all about luck. But this game is 99% luck and 1% skill. You hav to stop the choclate, blast the color bombs before they detonate and on top of that try to collect blues which have been made to fall less. Wow what a way to make money. First get people addicted to the game, then design impossible levels to submit them into spending money. Hmm lucky for me i aint the impulsive kind. I wouldnt buy anything from these people even if they sell for pennies.
But then i am addicted too. So even if i dont buy. I still try to win.
This isnt a fair game. Its worse than gambling.

  91. Thanks to another blog. (can't remember which one, sorry for not giving props)

This one worked in 4 tries after stuck for days!

You have to clear candies at the bottom, and there needs to be candies cleared above it because of your previous action. Kind of like combos and cascading effects. Then you see blue candies falling down.

By doing this, I was able to clear a lot more candies, and eventually pass the stage.

  92. I finally beat this level today. I used the suggestion and played on my son's laptop. I usually play on my iPad. I had lots of boosters available to me that I never see on my iPad. I used a few and beat the level in two tries and ended up beating out my friend for the top level spot

    ReplyDelete
  93. After reading these comments I got really worried, but managed by some dumb luck to get it to work after maybe only 5 tries. I think I focused on the blue and also combos at the bottom as much as possible and had some good cascades....it all worked out! It can be done!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Took the advice 1. going on the computer instead of on my phone or tablet 2. to use the bubble gum guy and 3. make special candies and concentrate on them instead of the blue. Only took 4 more games and I was through. Thanks for the help.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I have noticed a pattern where I blow up the chocolates and the blue ones start coming down, its either this or clearing candies at the bottom helps but i believe its actually the chocolates themselves. Blue comes down regardless of striped/wrapped candies but obviously it creates more spaces for blues.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I found that the more special candies you make and EXPLODE the more blues that show up - I did this on the iPad. Do that and get rid of the bombs as quickly as possible. I've also found if I have a hard level I can't get pass I try not to think too much - just play instinctively. To those of you who BUY your way past a level I couldn't care less what you have to say. It is of no value and because you do so it hurts the rest of us who EARN our way past a level. King loves you but I don't.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Had enough now. 4 weeks and counting.......

    ReplyDelete
  98. The number of blue candies in the video demo is ridiculously high. I have played at least 50 times and have never had that many blues on the screen.

    ReplyDelete
  99. this level is entirely luck. don't listen to any "tips". i have matched 13 striped/wrapped and two stripe/bomb in the same game and still had 7 blues left at the end. i just beat it by focusing on getting rid of chocolate. matching special candy has no effect on how many blues fall. it is luck based.

    ReplyDelete
  100. UNREAL!!! I finally completed the level with 1 move left! Then I get a message on my screen from Candy Crush that an error occurred. Now I have to start over again. WTF!!

    ReplyDelete
  101. "Shuffling, No more possible switches" on almost every game, bombs dropping down as fast as the candy, sometimes 2 on the board at the same time. So busy trying to clear them don't have time to keep the chocolate in check, which seems to always fill the upper right and left corners after taking away a 3 in a row match. Very few opportunities to create striped or wrapped candies and seldom do I get a chocolate sprinkle. I have not been so frustrated on any level as I am on this one. Have played it at least 75-100 times using different strategies. The more I play it, the worse the candies are falling. Seldom any blues on the board. May say goodbye at the end of today since it seems everyone has had much better luck than I have at this level.

    ReplyDelete
  102. It is partially luck but I have worked out how to do it.
You need to make sure the top corner at the top of the screen is clear of chocolates as the majority of blues comes from there. If one side is kept clear at all times, and always make it your priority, then you will get more blues coming down.
Also get plenty of stripes, not necessary to combine, and try to ensure not too much chocolate builds up on the bottom. Usually the stripes keeps it clear of most.
Concentrate on the one half side from top to bottom, that is clear of the chocolate at the top and when you see an opportunity to clear blues all around, do so as well.
The main factor is that stripes on one half (use straight away when possible) will keep clearing the chocolates on the bottom too.
So tips to keep an eye on is:
    1. Keep at least one top chocolate clear as the bulk of blues comes through there.
    2. clear all blues when opportunity presents itself (dont chase after it and waste more lives)
    3. keep an eye on the bombs, if possible the stripes will cascade other colors and clear it anyways.
    4. Stick to one half of screen from top to bottom to keep clear of chocolates so the top corners will bring down lots of blues.
    5. Persevere until this is done!!

The MAIN tip is keep the chocolate clear up one top corner!! Of course as the chocolate on the bottom is cleared some, then more blues comes down. clear chocolates, get blues..

I hope this helps others to get through quicker :)

  103. Linda - thanks, and I hope someone will find your tips useful along with the other tips. After today I'm deleting the game. I played at least 30 times today alone and the board is just NOT working in my favor, for whatever reason. It's impossible to keep the corners free since I can't get any matches there, and being busy clearing the bombs, it takes away from keeping the corners clear of chocolate. I have had the board reshuffle almost every game today. I have had bombs exploding constantly because I can't get any colors matched near them. Very few stripes to work with (where I need them). Same with the wrapped. Cascading is impossible since I can't clear the chocolate at the bottom. As far as blue candies I haven't had any more than 10-12 at any one time on the board and they're not near one another. After over 100+ attempts at this level, I'm giving up. You guys keep on crushing the candies, I'm signing off for good. Cheers!

  104. Months. It's been months.

    ReplyDelete
  105. It's been weeks for me too and I am really close to throwing in the towel. So annoyed!! I agree with other posts that it used to be fun but now it just ticks me off!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Unreal. This is the level that made me say "bye bye" to this game for good. Guess what?! I'm not going to play a game that is purposefully unwinnable.

I love all the really helpful advice in here: "just focus on the blue!" Yeah, ok morons. I'll do that. Oh hey awesome. No fucking blue for the first 25 moves. That's cool. I'll keep focusing on the non-existent blue. Fun fact: to clear 90 blues in 60 moves you literally have to make a blue combo of three EVERY ONE OUT OF TWO MOVES. Literally EVERY OTHER MOVE has to be a combo. So, yeah, that just happens every time, right?

It's not fun anymore and I'm not paying a god damn dime to these assholes just because they made an impossible level. So, have fun fucking off, King Games.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds that there are not enough blues falling to win the game. I even saw one person mention that once they paid the .99 for 5 extra moves, they had a whole bunch of blues. I believe this is by design. I've tried keeping the top clear of chocolates as someone suggested, I make the color bombs to blow up the blues, mix the wrapped candy and the striped candies and have mixed two wrapped candies, none of which resulted in me getting more blues or winning the game. As a matter of fact, whenever I clear the board that that manner I get a majority of red or purple pretty regularly for some reason. This has been the most difficult level by far. I'm not sure how much longer I'll keep trying.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Been stuck on this level for months...MONTHS! This has been the hardest level to beat! WTF? Have come so close and then the game cheats me. It has said I had 18 moves left and just a few blues left and after two turns, ended and said I was out of moves. There werent even any bombs on the board. So irritated and exhausted. Not worth the headache. I fixing to wrapped this game up!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Took me a week on iphone but went with strategy echoed on this board as well as from Toak's blog. Priorities were clearing time bombs and chocolate, creating special candies to use for combos, save blues until you can make a special candy for the most part, work from bottom of screen if no other options. This seems to get a well refreshed board to maximize your chance of blues dropping in. Had three moves left when all said and done. I didn't like playing on the computer, I think the board was smaller than on the iphone.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I am still trying to get past level1!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  111. u were extremely lucky in your vid, i guess it took a million times to get that much blues. u get collections of four in every 2nd move and cascades with blues.
when i play this lvl, i often move over 30 times with only one possible collection of three on the whole screen. and when i get a striped after 30 moves, the cascade only includes and throws down other colours.
sometimes i count less blues in the whole game, as u get dropped in at the beginning -.-
this game is too much on having luck, u can have an iq of 200 and calculate 5 moves ahead, but its too often, that u need only ONE certain color in ONE certain position, which u never get.
and if, there s still a bomb in the corner with no matching color around :(

i deleted this game cuz of this. u dont get rewards for being smart and doing clever moves but for having luck and getting cascades, which u cant oversee and dont even know whats going on while the candies pop.

    this game sucks

    ReplyDelete
  112. This level has ended my interest in the game

    ReplyDelete
  113. This level cheats so bad! I only needed to get 4 more blue candies to win the level and I still had 10 moves left. Not one single blue candy dropped, so my 10 moves were wasted and I lost the game with only needing 4 blue candies...I am so annoyed!

  116. This works!! Stuck for a week, the very next game
I nailed it, barely. It's all about getting striped and explosion
Candies. The more you set off and cascade the blues will
    Come down. Good luck

    ReplyDelete
  117. i also abandonned the game.
2 weeks stuck on that doomed level, tried all possible combination of color/striped/bombs....i reached the conclusion that this level is done on purpose to force people to buy some stuff....

Nice try candy crush team ....just dream ! you can wait centuries to get my money !

    hasta la vista ..BABY !

    ReplyDelete
  118. Well of course it is made to make you purchase, and some idiots fall for it. How do you think they make money with millions playing this game. Its all chance and very little skill. And there are so many levels that seem impossible, then all of a sudden it goes mad and you win without even knowing why. Yes Im stuck on this level too. No way I will pay.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I finally did it after 4 weeks none stop DONT play it on your phone or iPad its pot luck if you it your computer is the best bet lots of blues
cross freckles with any striped candy and then cross freckles with a blue they came down in buckets hopefully this will work for you it took about 8 goes
    Good luck

    ReplyDelete
  120. I did it. pure luck. I don't even remember that many blues dropping

    ReplyDelete
  121. Finally made it after playing this damn level for 4 days. You should NOT focus on the blue ones, like a lot of people say. You'll run out of them in no time if you do. You need to focus on making combo's and/or clearing the striped/packed candies as quickly as possible (if you think you can't combine them within 2-3 turns). You need to clear as many candies per turn like you can. That way the blue ones will keep coming. And you need a LOT of luck.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I have been on this level for quite a while. I have read tips, watch the video and I have not had any success. As much as I like this game, I am defeated... I cant get passed this board.

    ReplyDelete
  123. 2 weeks using all the clever stratgies watching all the hint videos what else left ohhhhh ya My last try is to delete the game and get back my wonderfull time that i have been losing since that day ?????? Bye candy cheeters

  124. i have been stuck on level 165 for so long the game is getting very boring am playing other games

    ReplyDelete
  125. Level 165 requires a lot of luck, but it can be done. I got it in about thirty tries over a day and a half, and the lucky turn came when playing on my Android tablet. I decided to try one more time before going to bed, and success! No boosters or extra lives needed. You have to clear the chocolate from the top so that the candies keep on coming. Most times I failed because there were not enough blue ones, the yellows and greens take care of themselves. You need combos, and I had two when i finally got the level, a wrapped/striped combo and a sparkle/striped combo at the end, with four moves remaining. As the board reloaded, I needed three more blues, and they even came up in alignment for me. Yes, this level definitely takes luck and combos. Vertical blasters (striped candies taking out a column) are useful.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Someone posted to quit focusing on the blue candies. Once I did this, I was finally able to complete the level. I didn't even try for the blues unless it was a bomb and I made as many striped/wrapped and colored bombs as I could. With lots of LUCK, I finally completed. THANKS for all the tips!!!

    ReplyDelete
  127. PLAY THIS LEVEL ON FB COMPUTER NOT ON PHONE. SERIOUSLY. Soooo many free boosters! I've only played it once on computer, a bomb exploded because I wasn't paying close enough attention, but OMG check marks keep falling and I had one of each booster TO START the level on the board!!!

    ReplyDelete
  128. I just Completed this level...
Let me tell you a trick..
just try to fill your board with blues. and then when u see that it is the right time to make combos.. start making it.. and Finish the Level.. Best ov Luck... :)

    ReplyDelete
  129. Eff this stupid level! It makes me want to take a nut pill and play tap out with my phone... Lol

    ReplyDelete
  130. Has anyone noticed that sometimes the candies don't get subtracted when you hit them?
    So annoying

    ReplyDelete
  131. Read all the comments on this blog but none worked, I was stuck for 3 days on the board, the only advice I can give is make big combos whenever u can and the candies fall where they do. I have to admit there is a lack of blues but keep trying to make the combos and eventually lots of blues will fall, I had 2 turns left with 1 blue to go after a wrapper/striped combo and fortunately the next turn allowed me to pair 3 blues together for some reason or another. It is just blind luck on this board unfortunately, don't succumb to paying for extra moves just keep playing and the candies will fall in your favor!

    ReplyDelete
  132. Okay, I am beaten, I'll give 165 another go tomorrow, if I fail again, that's is a week, so I'll admit defeat, and quit Candy Crush

    ReplyDelete
  133. After being stuck on 165 for about a month it got disgusted and deleted this game never to play it again. It is an impossible level.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I definitely must have the record for longest time on one level, it has been at least a month and probably longer if I actually did keep track. I know I have attempted at least 200 times and the closest I ever came and that was only once was within 9. I agree with several comments with the video I have never seen so many blues in one game.
It makes me doubt the video.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I have been on this level for over 2 months! I give up. deleted.

  136. A rigged game. This plays like three card monty more than anything. I thought it was illegal to take peoples money in a rigged game. What do I know. What a bunch of creeps at King.

    ReplyDelete
  137. You need a good start with a few blues then combinations. Keep at the blues and get rid of the bombs. Took thirty attempts.

    ReplyDelete
  138. I've tried several times with this level. I do like it it's hard but fun. Not enough blue candies. The closest I've come is 98 of 99 blue candies and I ran out of moves. I almost wanted to pay to continue.

    ReplyDelete
  139. OMG! I finally beat it! I tried all the suggestions and yet failed because not only was I given very little blue, I also wasn't getting many opportunities to make special candies. What did it for me was finally having the right candies to make special ones. I focused on making chocolate w sprinkles first, then wrapped candies, then stripes. Then trying to either pair a sprinkled chocolate with a striped one or pairing a striped with a wrapped candy. When deciding which color to pair w a sprinkled chocolate, I'd count to see how many of each available one was on the board, taking into account how many a stripped one would wipe out. And way before any of that, I would only play a game if the initial drop knocked out some chocolate squares and had good moves to start with. (You can endlessly restart a game without losing a life if logged out of FB.) THANK THE LORD I CAN GET BACK TO LIVING MY LIFE!

    ReplyDelete
  140. I finally beat it tonight too after several days of trying!!!

I tried to keep clearing candies from the bottom which definitely did the trick & special candies created themselves without me having to work out how to create them

    ReplyDelete
  141. 165 is one of the levels they expect to get money ... There is no way to win it without paying something ... I'm software developer, it is pretty obvious what developers have done in this level, that's sucks!

  145. Aha ha @ Wolter! Elvis has left the building :))
I'm stucckkkkkk on this level wahhhhhh not enough blues :(((( I got down to 6 blues to go, ran out of moves!! Grrrrr

    ReplyDelete
  146. Yep, pure luck. Stuck on this level for a month. Blue was slim pickens. When I got some to get close, couldn't stop the bomb, or out of moves. Then one turn came a bucket load of blue fell and a chocolate sprinkel right next to a blue ball. 1 move got 10 blue. Then more blue fell. I was in high hopes. Got all & passed the level with 5 moves left. Finally! Was about to just give it up for good. Guess they knew it and had mercy on me. I won't play to pay. 1 did it once, & decided then, not again.
Just keep doing what eveyone states. But it is all a gamble on how they fall.
My sister got to the level, 2nd time she got the motherload of blue balls. Really disliked her for days. ( friendly dislike)

    ReplyDelete
  147. Oh my gosh! I was on this level for weeks. I read someone's post here to keep upper corners free. Well I concentrated on keeping the upper 3 rows free, and I DID IT! Actually had 2 moves left. Amazing. Hope this helps someone!

    ReplyDelete
  148. I thought other levels were frustrating, but this is beyond. No matter what I do there are never enough blues. The closest I have been is with 10 moves left and still needed 15 blue candies. I even had two choco balls together and the board only dropped two blue candies. Glad they have the Odus, dream world moonstruck as it's a nice distraction, but then I forget about Odus going back and forth and he falls.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Hey King...
How about giving everyone a Christmas present and giving everyone a break on level 165? Or at least fix the programming so that more than 99 blue candies fall in ALL games played on this level!!!

  150. Stuck for weeks until I read the post of 7-18-13. The key to success in in this post!

    ReplyDelete
  151. Its simple: avoid crushing blues. Destroy them with combinations instead

    ReplyDelete
  152. I was stuck on this level for a month and thought that I just couldn’t get it!! I started reading all the hints/tips..
What helped me out also is when I found out I could play the game over and over by changing the date up and then going in and changing it back.. another hint/cheat that helped me is when I found out that I could pick and choose the game if I wanted to without loosing a game..but this has to be done on your phone..so I was able to pick and choose which game I wanted to play
If you can get the color bomb and blue strip together it will help tremendously but if you can’t get that use the color bomb and another stripped candy color, will work to ..try to get this combination as many times as possible
I know a lot of ppl are saying to concentrate on getting all the blues, which I did try and it didn’t work for me.. I simply tried clearing all the other colors which put more blues on the board for me and before i knew it I had a lot of blues at the end and was able to win the game with 3 moves left on the board!!

    ReplyDelete
  153. 5 weeks stuck on this ready to delete game now even friends who got past this say did it with luck

    ReplyDelete
  154. I was stuck on 165 for five days which is the longest I have been stuck on any level. Yet. The strategy is the same one used for most levels of candy crush i.e. make as many combos as possible and don't waste moves. In this one it's better to use special candies and pop blue candies as soon as they appear, lest they be swallowed by chocolate. I think this level tests your patience more than anything and eventually you get a 'lucky board' and clear it somehow. I was shocked when I finally did as I was watching game of thrones and not paying much attention to the game. Currently stuck on 181.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Just keep at the combinations need a lot of luck.

    ReplyDelete
  156. This might be one of those with a bug. Some levels you can only pass if u play it facebook website.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Concentrating on the blues did it for me too, but you need to have a lucky board too. Had been stuck for a week before reading the tip yesterday. Many thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  158. A lot of the problem is that the game cheats!!! I watch every time I crush the blue, and quite a few times now, none are being deducted from the top total. For instance, this most recent time my blue total was down to 34. I crushed two rows of 3 blues (6 blues total) and my blue total was still 34 instead of 28!! Another time, I had a blue wrapped candy and it took out 6 blue at once, and again nothing got deducted and the total remained the same. It's a bunch of bull and you'll pass when the game wants you to pass. Definitely pay attention when you are playing to make sure it's deducting from your total, because if not, you are fighting a losing battle. For me it's getting ridiculous to even play after seeing how "fixed" it is! Very disappointing! Good luck to all!

    ReplyDelete
  159. The game does not cheat, although the probability of blue candys dropping is quite low in this level. Try to start with a level containing a blue bomb and several other blues right from the start. Then remove as much of the chocolate as you can with only a few moves. Then go for a color bomb. You needn't blast the blues, its important to start a cascade, that improves the chances to get another bomb.
Still you will need luck. It may take a few days. Keep some lollipops ready, since nothing is more frustrating than losing with a few blues you just cannot blow.
So keep patient or buy some helpers. But this level IS possible. And by the way, 167 is wayyy less hard.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Trying to do the impossible?! Advice like yours guys..?... When this level is pure luck with no blues in it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  161. Correct me if I'm wrong here but to collect 99 blues, surely 99 blues have to be generated. All I seem to do is try to control the endless bombs!

    ReplyDelete
  162. after watching the video and reading the comments I tried again and passed straight away!! sooo useful. Do not concentrate on getting the blues, just play normally, getting all the different kind of sweets.. striped, bombs, etc.. thats what worked for me!

    ReplyDelete
  163. I finally beat level 165. I tried focusing on special candy and combos only, not on the blue candies. Just make as many special candy and they'll kill all the chocolate, bombs, and blue candies.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Not enough blues. But I've also noticed that, sometimes when I obliterate 3 or even 4 of a required color, the tally in the count remains the same (i.e., I'm not getting credit for removing some of the required orders or candies). I think that that's called cheating.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Blue candies are very rare ..that's not fair at all ..I hv been trying for long weeks , but no way with this level

    ReplyDelete
  166. After almost a month, I did it, but this is the first time I had to resort to boosters. 2 moves left, needing 2 blues. Used 2 hammers. Finally! Finally!

    ReplyDelete
  167. Fuck this stupid fucking game, i broke my i phone cause this shit

    ReplyDelete
  168. Been on this level for two months. The game isn't fun when it's this tough. Time to delete and play something else. No fun now.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Been on this over a month. Got down to 9 blues left and finally bit on the " 5 free moves and 3 hammers for .99" come on. First time I've bought extra stuff from them. And it will be the last. It was supposed to allow me to continue the game. But instead King helpfully started a new game instead! Gotta be kidding. This level is luck. Or it's fixed and the game withholds blues until you give in and give them money. Regardless. I am very close to deleting the game. It's not enjoyable to "play" a game that is impossible to win. Skill and concentration are what should be tested. You can't win a level that requires 99 blues when most times you don't see more than 30, 40,or 50 blues even generated.

    ReplyDelete
  170. I've been playing this level for days with no luck. Always coming close to 30 blues.
Just now I had 21 blues to go, made a move, and voila... 45 BLUES TO GO...
Tell me how could that happen...the counter went inexplicably up.
I don't know if its a general bug that happens in all levels. All I know is that in this level I started playing looking closely to the number left because I can't believe it could take so long to pass.
I hope the guys at King fix this bug... It's no fun at all.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Just completed 165 after 3 days. Yes, the odds seem unfairly stacked against getting enough blues to achieve the 99 required but it is doable, and without buying boosters. My strategy was to form as many striped combos as possible, irrespective of colour, and fire them off at all angles and hope to get as many blues as pos. when I had no striped I would line up any 3 colours vertically as near to the middle of the board as pos. as that seemed to get a fair amount of blues down. Admittedly on the final board I ha d 2coulor bombs. One I set off at blues but the other at random and I got roughly the same amount of blues down with both. Pay close attention to bombs, but I cleared a lot of them with the combos, and pay minimum attention to chocolate. I eventually finished with 8 moves left. Nil desperandum. I'm an 71 year old grandma, so if I can do it, so can you!

  172. WEBSITE A GODSEND!!! Ready to throw whole ipad in the bin after weeks on 165, but instead followed advice: ignore blues, concentrate on getting and using stripes etc, and I've done it WITH ONE MOVE TO SPARE!

    ReplyDelete
  173. Just collect as much as you can, don't worry about what color it is. Set of the bombs ASAP. Make lots of special candies and use them ASAP, don't save them. Cause as much destruction as you can, let your inner HULK out!

Oh, and celebrate when you get past this sadistic level.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I only finished this level today after several months of trying... of course i wasn't religiously at it everyday till today. (although that was the case initially).
On several occasions I've gotten down to 7 or 5 or even 3 blues but with no more attempts left. and since there was so way i was going to purchase more tries i figured it would eventually happen ...someday.

So when i actually completed it today i was so shocked my jaw hung open for a bit.

My only advice, focus on problems in this order:
    -Bombs
    -Chocolate
    -Create colour bombs,
-make as many special candies as possible and preferably mix (striped with wrapped and striped with colour bombs if you can) to maximise damage.

and don't waste your time focusing on blues only.

  175. And finally - after about 3 months trying I cracked it. I have been focusing on using special candies to clear the board and bring down as many new candies as poss so you can get enough blues. Obviously keeping a close eye on bombs and chocolate at the same time! It took a while ( and once I got down to 1 left - aaaaaaah!) but it finally paid off. Yay!

  176. I have not been able to get Candy Crush Saga all day even though my friends on FB have been able to play. When I try to play it the page is white with a small square in the middle saying ''operation timed out''' ?
So I decided to join the Candy Crush Soda game and found I had the same blank page showing. ?? Any ideas please.
